The wait time can sometimes stretch to 20-30 minutes, especially during peak times like Friday evenings. While the food is worth the wait, some customers feel it could be trimmed down for a quicker turnaround during busy periods.
The shop's popularity can lead to a bustling atmosphere, which might overwhelm those looking for a quieter dining experience. On busy nights, finding a seat can pose a challenge, and some have expressed a desire for more seating options to accommodate the flow of patrons better. These minor inconveniences don't overshadow the overall experience, but they’re worth noting for visitors planning their trip.
It was Friday evening so there were a few people waiting for their orders. The weather was good so we didn't mind waiting for our food. It could have been 20-30 minutes wait tbh. However the food was great and it was worth it
Best chip shop in Wellingborough by far . Generous portions and top quality food.
Lovely fish. Cooked to order, crispy batter. Chips portion is very generous and cooked well. Front line staff greet with a smile, fry chef is open to adapt an order to my needs eg light batter, extra crispy etc. Always busy but the service is prompt.
Popped in tonight as my local chip shop was closed! This place is great value for money. Got a large battered sausage, a small battered sausage and plenty of chips in the small portion with curry sauce all for about £7.70! Will definitely be back again
Immaculate, stylish chippy. Friendly staff. Great fish and chips
This is the best fish and chips I have ever had. I'm from London and am visiting Wellingborough for a few days break from London. The fish and chips here is lovely and crispy and only £5.30 for a big piece of cod and small chips. Very good price for the meal. The small chips are enough for two people actually so I have definitely over eaten. It was nice to have the crispy bits in the chips. My local fish and chips in London throw away the crispy bits but that's the best part. I will certainly miss this fish and chips shop when I return back home. I'd give them a million stars if I could. I will recommend this chippy to anyone and will also recommend it in my hotel review as its only 5 minutes drive from where I am staying. Might encourage others to try it. Well done and thanks for such a lovely meal.
Just had the Coeliac fish & chips absolutely delishous, not greasy at all and well worth 5 stars 👍 Hubby had veggie option and enjoyed it also.
